As we prepare for the 2019 Convention of the Diocese of Montana, which will be the 116th, I wanted to share the legislation that will be considered at it, in addition to the essential work of electing the tenth bishop of our diocese.
Below is a link to a file that contains three pieces of legislation to be considered, as well as a number of proposed amendments and resolutions that were referred to dioceses by the 79th General Convention of the Episcopal Church.
I would implore people to pay close attention to the first resolution, which will be considered before the election of the Tenth Bishop of Montana on Friday, July 26. It would expand who is eligible to vote and also undo a change made to diocesan canons at the 114th Diocesan Convention.
The schedule for convention is available online right now.
Also, so is the proposed 2020 Diocesan Budget.
